Spotted at the recent Essen Motorshow was this striking new wheel from German manufacturer Ronal. With retro looks that hint more than strongly towards the every-popular Turbo model, the new Aero will be available in, you guessed it, 18″ – with both 5×112 and 5×120 stud-pattern (to begin with).
Unlike the second generation 15″ Turbo (which was embossed), thankfully the 18″ Aero only features its name in decals, so there’s plenty of scope to customise your set to ensure they remain original. Available February/March time and priced at around 200 Euro a pop, we predict this will be a popular choice for the 2009 season so be quick with that order. Contact all good wheel stockist.

Spotted at the recent Tokyo Auto Salon these ultra-narrow 17″ tyres from Taiwanese firm, Nankang will be a Wheel Whores dream. The 165/35 and 185/35 profile NS-2 Ultra Sport tyres are intended for 6 and 6.5″ rims respectively, however would look great stretched over something a lot wider (obviously for show purposes only). With ODs (overall diameters) of 548 (165/35) and 562 (185/35) and tread widths of 170mm and 188mm respectively these could be just what the doctor ordered… providing you can find them. We’re yet to see any surface in Europe but a quick call to your local Nankang agent should sort that. Get in before the rush…

Got the car, the wheels and the garage? Now get the perfect place to store them. Want somewhere to store your show wheels without the worry of them getting damaged? Then look no further. This clever piece of kit from Sealey can house four wheels (with tyres up to 225mm wide) and also folds away for storage or traveling. Retailing at less than £30 not only is it something of a necessity for any Wheel Whore, the Sealey TS4 is a bit of a bargain, too. www.sealey.co.uk

After debuting some of the most contemporary wheels we’ve seen at H2Oi in ‘07, we’ve all been waiting by our keyboards for this announcement from the guys at BDA Felgen (Namely Jason and Zack). Yep, it’s much anticipated website (www.bdautofelgen.com) is now live and running… just in time for Christmas, too.
So if it’s custom wheels you’re after then look no further. These guys are true Whores like you and I who can make pretty much any design. Take a look around their site and make yourself at home. Any inquiries, however weird or wonderful, simply drop them a line. You may even find them loitering on the Wheel Whores forum…. so be sure to say hi!

Great weekend and another tough call, but when the dust settled Alex Wright (alexw) emerged the deserved winner of our 4th Wheel Whores trophy this past weekend for his drop-dead gorgeous Compomotive Turbos.
Great stance, smashing little car (Helious blue Campaign Mk1 G60) and even the right shade of gold. Seeing it parked in the hotel car park on the Sunday morning kinda sealed the deal. Well done mate.

Big shout out to Jimmy Barahona for not only having the coolest name ever, but also scooping the official Wheel Whores best wheels of show trophy at the recent H2Oi event in Ocean City. To say the head rimmers had a tough job choosing would be an understatement.

Big congrat’s to Ian Lockley for having the balls to split those 19″ Bentley Conti’ GT rims, painting ‘em white and slapping them on his TT Rag.
